Funding

Funding

The establishment of the non-profit Sirisia Leadership Academy Trust,  the construction of the school, and its ongoing operations are fully  sponsored by a charitable fund established by Tripp Amdur in partnership with the East African Children’s Fund. Tripp was an American Peace Corps volunteer who taught at Sirisia Secondary School (St. Anthony’s) in 1984-85.  He was touched by the kindness of the people of Sirisia and developed an enduring bond  with the community. Having recently retired from an international career in healthcare, Tripp envisions the Sirisia Leadership Academy as a way to give back to the community which  welcomed him so warmly 40 years ago.
